François Legault, Head of the Coalition Avenir Québec, with the artist-painter Marnier

(BOUCHERVILLE, October 16, 2017) – Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville painter, Marnier, was offered the honor to exhibit his work in the Quebec Parliament building. Two of his paintings proudly adorn the office walls of the Leader of the Coalition Avenir Québec, Mr. François Legault.

This artist is without a doubt on a roll and keeps on getting noticed. After being displayed at the offices of the MNA for Montarville, Mrs. Nathalie Roy, his work can now be admired on the third floor of the Parliament.

« His paintings are exquisite. Marnier has a very distinctive brushstroke, a whole new style of Impressionism », said Mr. François Legault, clearly happy to see the new paintings decorating his office walls.

Marnier’s Artistic Path

Born in Boucherville, Marnier now lives in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville. Little, he already showed a strong talent for drawing. But it’s at teenage that this talent developed into a passion and started attracting attention. He first got noticed by his art teacher and then by his school director. With a smile, Marnier remembers how, at that time, the latter had purchased one of his drawings.

After graduating in graphic design, this discipline became his main channel of expression for close to twenty years – though he also liked to flirt with brushes on occasion. More recently, his artistic spark drew him away from graphic design and pushed him to devote himself to painting. Over the past years, this medium gradually took up more and more space, until it became the driving force of his artistic emergence and in which he developed his very own style.
